If you could spare a few hours of your time each week to volunteer for SAM’S we would love to hear from you.
Please also support us by donating any of your preloved items including: clean clothing, shoes, bags, bric-a-brac, DVD’s, books and anything else you think we could re-sell.
We’re really looking forward to seeing you soon at SAM’S, 5 Station Road, Bourton on the Water, GL54 2AA
Thank you Fat Face!
We would like to give a special mention to the incredible team at Fat Face Stow-on-the-Wold who continue to support SAM’s, not only in the shop but in their own time with fundraising activities.
A very big thank you to Adrienne Halliday, Emilia McIntyre, Megan Bamforth and Louisa Ryan.
Recently the girls braved a skydive raising over £1,000.00 for SAM’s. On top of this we were Fat Face’s nominated charity for their Black Friday event in store receiving a donation of almost £900.00. The money being raised for us all goes towards helping children and young people with cancer and their families living in the local area.
Thanks
We don’t expect thanks from the children and the families that the Sam Pilcher Trust supports as we know only too well that for the parents, their child’s condition is mainly the only thing on their minds. However, when we do it is very much appreciated. Please find below a copy of an email we have just received from the mother of a 16 year old patient who is undergoing treatment for a brain tumour. We have not shown the name to preserve anonymity:
Hi Terasa,
Due to your fundings and the money C had already saved she was able to purchase an Apple MacBook Pro. This has already helped her with revision towards her GCSEs and will hopeful in the future contribute to her further studies.
She is overwhelmed by your support and we can not thank you enough.
Many thanks,
S x
