About Sam and the Trust

sam pilcher trust

Sam lived in Upper Slaughter and attended Swell C of E Primary School.

He was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in September 2008. He bravely battled with this dreadful disease to the day he died on 4 June 2010 aged 11.

It was Sam who decided to start fun-raising to help other children who were suffering from Leukaemia.

During his illness he took part in many fundraising activities, including: Dragon Boat Racing at Gloucester Docks, a Sponsored Bike Ride around some Cotswold villages and at school he helped to organise Cake Baking Days and Cross-Country Running activities.
